Poem 043 Rhythms of distortion

Rhythms of distortion, dancing above the flame,
changing, behind the scenery, which never stays the same

It’s inconsistency still dancing, as if it were the wind,
moving apart, the pieces, I once spent time to mend

Yet it still keeps flowing, upward, again and again
until all, is turned to aches, for it’s the flame that brings the end

Usually behind a cup of coffee waiting for the world around me to wake up I entered today’s thoughts about yesterday’s activities into my travel journal. I’m not a writer, so I’ll apologize in advance if I jump around or seem confused. These are just the thoughts of a young man who left his possessions behind and who believes that getting lost is how one finds oneself.
